To celebrate the launch of our 2017 Prom collection, we’ve gone straight to the original source of inspiration to give you some ideas for the big night. Introducing Esther and Rosie, the team behind the range, whose advice may just help you find the perfect dress…

What was your main inspiration behind the new Prom collection?

E: We really wanted to create a collection that was right on trend for our younger customer. We know how difficult it is to find a beautiful dress without the huge price tag, so we’ve worked hard to bring you affordable pieces with lots of statement.

R: Our inspiration was the modern party girl who wants to stand out but also feel beautiful. Whether she wants a sexy, girly or alternative look, there is a dress for her!

What new designs can we find in the collection?

R: This year’s Prom range has a beautiful offering of cut-out details and contemporary embellishments – an aesthetic completely unique to the collection.

E: We wanted to tap into the key trends of the season whilst elevating every look with Coast’s beautiful handwriting. Fashion-forward silhouettes and clever use of sequins were main focuses for the collection.

What’s your favourite piece from the collection?

R: My favourite has to be the Kadie Dress. It’s the showpiece of the collection and won’t fail to make a statement!

E: Agreed, it has to be the all over sequin Kadie Dress.

What should every girl look for when choosing their prom outfit?

E: You need a dress that will suit your style and truly reflect your personality. Just be you!

R: You need to choose something that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

What should every prom girl not go without on the big night?

R: Her mobile phone (of course!) so she can capture every moment of the night! Selfies galore!

E: She should definitely have the make up look nailed, too. Be prepared by saving down your favourite party makeup tutorials on Youtube like I did!
